GolfPsych. . . Think Like A Champion©
One of the more surprising components of the GolfPsych program for golfers is my lack of interest in scores. . . not because scores aren't important. They are. However, GolfPsych is about a process, not an event.
As the mental and physical aspects of the game fall into place. . . so does the score! I want to know what you are thinking, feeling, and seeing as you play EACH shot.
One exercise that can be very beneficial follows:
Go to your golf bag. . . Write down EVERY club in it.
Now. . . rate it. . . Love it! Like it! Hate to use it! Plan to replace it!
If you plan to replace it, Why? If it's because it isn't working for you. . . call me before you discard it and replace it with another club. Often, if the club is a recent problem, it isn;t the club. . . it's the golfer's thoughts about the club.
I want you to LOVE every club in your bag!
The First Step in the mental game is being committed to your decision. . . that includes your club. If you aren't committed to making your shot with it, it is difficult to quiet the mind and move to your right brain. . . The Zone.
